On 22nd June, Hana Financial Group’s Vice Chairman Mr. Lee Eun Hyung and Executive Vice President Mr. Hwang Hyo Goo visited Myanmar, and donated stationery and school accessories to students in Sittwe Township who were impacted by Cyclone Mocha.
As part of Hana Financial Group’s Global Happy Sharing Program, the donation was carried out on July 6th, 2023, under the leadership of Hana Microfinance Limited’s Deputy Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Park Dong Wook, Chief Operations Officer, U Min Min Zaw, and Director of Ar Yone Oo Foundation, U Cin Khan Lian. Hana Team extended their visit to the schools impacted by Cyclone Mocha in Sittwe Township to implement the donation program and provided much-needed support to the students.
Hana employees from the Sittwe Branch Office actively participated in the donation ceremony and volunteered to distribute the donation items to over 500 primary school students. We express our sincere gratitude to everyone who volunteered and contributed to the success of the donation ceremony.
In response to the impacts of Cyclone Mocha, Hana Microfinance took immediate action to support clients from Sittwe Township by providing Beneficiary Welfare Funds (BWF) to assist them with their emergency needs. Furthermore, Hana engaged in negotiations with clients who were affected by Cyclone Mocha based on their individual circumstances.
