The Legal & Compliance Team has been conducting discussions with all staff at various branches of Hana Microfinance to raise awareness of AML / CFT / WMD and IRC. This month, the program was shared online with three branches in Mon State.
On November 12, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 11 staff members from the Yay Office participated; on November 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8 staff members from the Chaungzon Office participated; and on November 14, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 10 staff members from the Thanbyuzayat Office participated. During these online sessions, training was provided, and individual interviews were conducted with the staff.
In the online program, staff from the three branches were trained on topics such as AML / CFT / WMD, CTR / STR awareness, understanding sanctions, and IRC awareness. During the individual interview sessions, each staff member’s level of understanding was assessed, and any questions or misunderstandings were clarified.
