Signed a contract for disbursing Consumer loan (Housing Loan) in Shwe Pyi Thar Township

On 10th September 2019, Hana Microfinance and Women for the world cooperated to sign a Contract for 264 homeless people to build a house by disbursing three million Kyats per person as Housing Loan.

This Signing Ceremony held at No. (6) Ward, Thar Ta Na Beikman, near Myo Oo Pagoda in the morning on 10th September 2019. Then homeless women with low income who are chosen from the Wards, Chief Operation Officer Daw Yin Yin Win and Group from Hana Microfinance and Daw Naw Wah Phaw and Group from Women For The World attended it.

“According to Directive of Yangon Division Government, we cooperated with Women For The World Group to build houses for low income families. Women For The World Group supervises the Housing. For these houses, we make the Contracts with the people who apply the Housing Loan, and explain to them about Microfinance Business. There are total 264 persons who come here. We will disburse three million Kyats per person and the borrowers need to repay both interest and principal monthly. Interest Rate 2.5% is specified by Government. But we will reduce and take it because of the Housing Project. Each of the Housing Loan is different. Also there is a three year repayment plan. For this present people, we specified for 6 years (72 months). We have disbursed in Hlaing Thar Yar and Dagon Seikkan Townships. Now Shwe Pyi Thar Township is the third Township.”, said Chief Operation Officer Daw Yin Yin Win from Hana Microfinance.

“Today Ceremony is getting the Housing Loan from ‘May Myittar Public Housing’ Agenda for the low income people by signing the Contract with Hana Microfinance. There are three million Kyats per person for a house. The Government gave a Project Land Place. We will make discussed house designs with Township/Ward Heads. These borrowers will be allocated in that place. If you ask about we have more plans, we will implement in six Townships by Division Government’s Plan. There is about over ten thousands per Township. Now the Project will be continued to do here once we got a Building Permit from the related department. We have submitted. Bank Loan will not be given individually. It will be given from the bank account by groups. The people are these present loan borrowers. Our group is the one connect each other. We supervise for implementing Project.”, explained Daw Naw Wah Phaw from Women For The World Group.
